Stainless steel superstructures & bronze features.
The Holocaust Monument of Names a memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Designed by the world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind in collaboration with local architect Rijnboutt.
AIP was contracted for the engineering and construction of the monument’s floating stainless-steel superstructures, as well as the intricate bronze elements, including walls and signage. These components are meticulously crafted to enhance the monument's striking aesthetic while fortifying its lasting significance.
The architectural vision spearheaded by Libeskind resonates deeply through the monument's form and materials, evoking a sense of unity and loss. The floating stainless steel reflects the transience of memory, while the substantial bronze elements surround the memorial, infusing it with weight and permanence.
As a cultural beacon in Amsterdam, the Holocaust Monument of Names not only honors the memories of those lost but also serves as a vital educational resource, fostering dialogues about tolerance, humanity, and the ongoing significance of historical awareness. Through this project, AIP is proud to contribute to a space that encourages reflection and remembrance, ensuring the lessons of the past remain an integral part of our collective consciousness.
