30 meter tall watchtower in weathered steel.
The Observation Tower Cartierheide is a striking 30-meter tall watchtower crafted from weathered steel. AIP, in collaboration with IAA Architecten, takes pride in both the design and construction principles of this unique structure.
The tower's design draws inspiration from the smooth snake, a local endangered species, reflecting a commitment to environmental awareness and the preservation of local biodiversity. This thoughtful integration of nature into architectural design aims to foster appreciation for the region's ecological richness.
The project embodies a seamless partnership among AIP, IAA Architecten, and Summum Engineering, ensuring that the tower stands as a functional observation point while also serving as an artistic landmark in the Cartierheide area. The tower will not only provide visitors with breathtaking views but also enhances the landscape, inviting exploration and connection to nature.
