The Twente Airport Tower emerges as a remarkable observation point within the rejuvenated landscape of the former military airport of Twente. Commissioned by Area Development Twente and skillfully designed by NOHNIK Architecten, this structure marks a unique intersection of history and modern recreation in the area.

The tower's design pays homage to the historical significance of the site while embracing contemporary architecture. Standing proudly within the newly developed recreational area, it serves as both a landmark and a hub for visitors, offering sweeping views of the expansive surroundings.

A focus on sustainability and structural integrity was paramount throughout the project. ABT’s structural engineering expertise ensures that the tower is not only visually striking but also robust, catering to the diverse needs of visitors and the area’s development.

As a tribute to the transformation of Twente’s historical aviation site into a vibrant recreational space, the Twente Airport Tower invites exploration and reflection.
